Celebrating the music of The Tony Williams Lifetime Group

One of Ireland's leading improvising musicians Tommy Halferty join's forces with two of Ireland's leading jazz musicians' Scott Flanigan - Hammond Organ & Kevin Brady - Drums to perform a short Tour of Ireland.

The Tony Williams Lifetime was founded in 1969 as a power trio with John McLaughlin on electric guitar, and Larry Young (a.k.a.Khalid Yasin) on organ. The band was possibly named for Williams' debut album as a bandleader, Life Time, released on Blue Note in 1964.

The group will perform a selection of music from this infamous group as well as exciting new original compositions by members of the group.
