Tommy Halferty is one of the great figures of jazz in Ireland. This guitarist has played in his career with such diverse artists as Benny Golson, Martial Solal, Lee Konitz, Dave Liebman and John Abercrombie.

Jean Philippe Lavergne is dedicated to the organ since 1989. Self-taught, his extensive work of this instrument allowed him to perform with jazz musicians in France and abroad.

Their old meeting a quarter of a century resulted in the formation of the Irish trio French Connection and HLT with drummer Christophe Lavergne. This training product from Europe for many concerts and festivals, recently invited to Radio France for "Jazz on the spot" in May 2014.

Tommy Halferty and Jean Philippe Lavergne will occur for this duo concert in repertoire mixing tradition and personal compositions for music favoring interaction.

abbaye-de-beauportIn Paimpol Bay, Beauport Abbey is a monastic remarkably preserved major witness of religious architecture in Britain.

In the 13th century, canons Norbertine settle at the request of Count Alain de Goëlo. For 500 years, they will make this place and their environment according to their monastic rule and the needs of their community.

Closed to the French Revolution, and sold as national property, the abbey buildings are in turn transformed into stable, mayor, bourgeois apartments, schools and cider. The abbey is finally historical monument in 1862.

With the restoration program was born of the partnership of the Conservatoire du Littoral, the owner since 1992 and the General Council of Côtes d'Armor, the site of Beauport discovered through exhibitions, performances and cultural events.
