In the 13th century, canons Norbertine settle at the request of Count Alain de Goëlo. For 500 years, they will make this place and their environment according to their monastic rule and the needs of their community.

Closed to the French Revolution, and sold as national property, the abbey buildings are in turn transformed into stable, mayor, bourgeois apartments, schools and cider. The abbey is finally historical monument in 1862.

With the restoration program was born of the partnership of the Conservatoire du Littoral, the owner since 1992 and the General Council of Côtes d'Armor, the site of Beauport discovered through exhibitions, performances and cultural events.
